Beyond the Blue

Recently, God showed me something so simple… but yet, so powerful.

My husband's truck was experiencing problems.

In the middle of trying to figure it out, there were many different opinions coming from different directions.

One person said, “Do this.”

Another said, “No, try this instead.”

But his father told him exactly what to do.

And it didn’t fully make sense at first.

It would’ve been easy to listen to the other voice..

But he chose to trust his father.

And in the end… the truck got fixed.

A father gives instruction from a place of love, protection, and wisdom.

God, our Father does the same.

Even when it doesn’t make sense.

Even when the world says otherwise.

Even when the path looks different than what we imagined.

God is always saying: "I know what’s best for you!"

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.”

Matthew 16:24

Following Christ is hard.

It doesn’t always make since in the moment.

It requires trust when emotions are loud and the future feels uncertain.

It requires us to run the race set before us,

not someone else’s race,

and not the world’s expectations.

Today, I was reminded again how heavy this journey can feel.

We were at a playground and my son was stimming just being himself.

He was just regulating in the way his body knows how.

There was a lady nearby who didn’t realize I was his mom.

She told her child to go play on the other side.

In that moment, everything in me felt it.

The sting.

The isolation.

The reminder that this road can feel lonely.

This month, when you see all of the blue for Autism Awareness Month.

I want you to think a little deeper.

Think about the parents.

We are all out here just trying to make sure that our kids get to just be kids.

We are out here just taking one day at a time.

Awareness is important but for us, this is our life!

To every autism parent reading this you’re not alone in this walk.

When the days feel heavy… stand firm.

When progress feels slow… stand firm.

When the world doesn’t understand… stand firm.

Not because it’s easy but, because God is with you in it.

Your child’s story has purpose.

God is saying: "I know what’s best for you."

And that includes your child’s story.

That includes their assignment.

That includes every detail of their life.

Autism and all!

Your journey has meaning and, your Faith matters more than you know.

Let this not just be a month of awareness but, let it be a reminder that we are a community of parents choosing Faith over fear, trust over doubt, and purpose over pressure.

We’re not just raising children…

We’re walking in calling.

God is carrying us every step of the way.
