Breakthroughs

While I was driving to pick Gabby up from school, Gabe, who has been having frequent meltdowns lately, started to have another one on our way home.

Gabby, on her own initiative, reached out and held his hand to help him calm down.

There are so many things that we can learn from children.

Just one touch... just like the woman with the issue of blood.

Just one touch to Jesus' garments and, her physical symptoms completely dried up.

One touch and everything changed.

I have Faith in breakthroughs, both small and large.

Each breakthrough, regardless of its size, holds the potential to create significant change and impact in various aspects of life.

Even more, the journey toward achieving breakthroughs, whether small or large, often involves overcoming obstacles and challenges.

It requires a great deal of resilience, creativity, and a willingness to learn.

On this journey, although honestly it is extremely challenging..

I believe that I am just one phone call, one service, one prayer, or one resource away from achieving that breakthrough.

This weekend illustrated that to me.

We had the opportunity to visit the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin, Texas.

I was surrounded by families who genuinely understand.

They comprehend the challenges, the advocacy, the grief, and more, including Autism and other disabilities.

But, man they also recognize the breakthroughs and, the efforts required to achieve what was necessary for their child and the lessons that they learned.

This community was so helpful in sharing insight that can help me on my own journey.

God really sees us during our toughest moments.

From experience, it can sometimes feel otherwise.

In truth, it seems like He is more distant during these times.

It's the small things, the tiny glimpses of hope, that help us keep going.

This weekend provided the "touch" I needed... that tiny piece,

as small as a mustard seed - much like Faith,

to encourage me to keep moving forward, supported by a community genuinely eager to help in every way.

What a blessing.

What a weekend.

My hope is in Thee

Psalms 39:7
